About Fountain Products

In the early sixties, the parents of John R. Piacquadio owned and operated a family style restaurant in Bridgeville, PA. After his father took ill he had to help out by picking up food and other restaurant supplies in the downtown Pittsburgh Area. Other restaurant owners in the area had him pick up supplies for their establishments and he added a small profit to cover gas and his time. As time went on more and more restaurants were requesting his services. Realizing that family owned businesses liked dealing with family owned suppliers, he went ahead and purchased a delivery van and rented a warehouse in Bethel Park, PA and started Fountain Products. Established in 1970, a family owned business distributing disposable paper goods and cleaning supplies to family owned restaurants, pizza shops, and taverns in Western Pennsylvania. As business grew, in 1975 he added restaurant design, foodservice cooking and preparation equipment, furniture, pots and pans, cooking and serving utensils, janitorial supplies and cleaning chemicals to the product line.

Fountain Products has designed and provided cooking equipment, furnishings, and supplies to many of the most successful restaurants in our area for 40+ years.
